I will not rescue you, for you are not powerless. I will not fix you, for you are not broken. I will not heal you, for I see you in your wholeness. I will walk with you through the darkness as you remember your light.

I have never met a bad part of any client. Every part of every client I have ever worked with is trying to help them. Even parts inside them, that may be harming themselves or others, have always revealed themselves to be trying to help in some way. I have also found that every client has within them a core true self, that is compassionate, curious, calm, loving and connected to everything. In working together I will help connect you to this place and, from there, meet the parts of you that are suffering and help heal them of the painful wounds they are protecting. If a part of you doesn't feel this is possible, wonderful, we'll start there.

You and your parts will be the boss of how fast or slow we work and what we work on. I have never lived a moment of your life and have no idea how your inner system works, until you are brave enough to show me. In our work, you will decide what you want to help heal, and together we will do it. It will be a process that will be respectful of every aspect inside of you. We will not explore any part of yourself, until everything inside you allows it. If any part of you isn’t ready to go there, we don’t.

My work is primarily informed by Internal Family Systems. I am also informed by mindfulness/narrative/gestalt therapy and attachment theory. I have a background in working with teens, individuals and couples to navigate the intimacy of relationships and help people recover from anxiety, depression, trauma and compulsive behaviors/addictions. I offer executive coaching for individuals who prefer a more casual way in working together that is more goal oriented. I have 17 years experience in working with people recovering from substance abuse and have taught mindfulness meditation for 8 years.

I earned my masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. I completed my undergraduate B.F.A. degree at S.U.N.Y. Purchase. I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. AMFT #130172. I am supervised by Amanda Joblon #82020.
